Project Description:
The project consists of an 18,000+/- square foot building addition.
Infill of the 2nd floor interstitial, 3rd floor, and 3rd floor interstitial area of one of the quadrants of the existing building. New steel truss, beam and joists were used to infill an area and bear on existing columns and beams.
A full lateral analysis was done for the entire building to determine if the concrete shear wall structure had adequate lateral resisting capacity for the addition.
