Project Description:

• Three story 16,700 square foot Classroom, Library and office building
• Roof design includes bow string K-series steel bar joists bearing on steel wide flange beams and columns
• Floor design consists of a steel wide flange and concrete deck composite floor system bearing on steel wide flange beams and columns.
• First floor is partially buried and has a concrete retaining wall on one side
• The lateral system consists of a combination of steel braced frames and concrete shear walls
• Design included use of IBC 2003 and ASCE 7
• Design also included design of site retaining walls and concrete stairs
