Mr. Pfeiffer is a native New Mexican and a graduate of New Mexico State University with over 18 years of experience in the consulting engineering profession. He is an active member in professional organizations and served as president of the American Society of Civil Engineers. In addition he has also served as Student Branch President of Chi Epsilon, Honor Society of Civil Engineers.
Mr. Pfeiffer has vast experience in project management including supervision of staff, project budgeting, client coordination, and direction of sub-consultants. He has been heavily involved in marketing and client relations, contract negotiations, proposal preparation and project/ proposal/ technical society presentations.
He is a structural design engineer with experience in building design, hydraulic structure design, dam stability analysis, bridge design analysis, AutoCAD, and spreadsheet computer applications. Experienced in computer analysis of trusses and frames, CALTRANS Response Spectrum Analysis, foundation design, post-tensioned and conventionally-reinforced concrete design, design of roof and wall framing for steel and wood buildings, design of concrete tilt-up wall systems, and steel tube truss design. Also experienced in renovation and retrofit design of existing buildings including building inspection and evaluation. Civil engineering design experience includes coordinate geometry, drainage and grading, and right-of-way considerations.
